NFL free agent Adrian Peterson is the latest star name to enter the world of crossover boxing.

After terrorising opposition defences on the field, he is now looking to make an impact inside a boxing ring when he faces fellow running back Le'Veon Bell on Saturday night in Los Angeles.

Whenever there is a debutant to crossover boxing, it's not long until Jake Paul's name is mentioned as a potential opponent and it was no different when Peterson appeared on The DAZN Boxing Show

"I would need a little more time," Peterson responded when asked about whether he was ready to face "The Problem Child".

"He’s been doing it for a long time, what I’ve learned in the last couple of months is that your body has to be well conditioned to get in that ring and go 15 rounds.

"I can’t sit here and say I’m ready for all of that."

Peterson also gave some insight into the difference between training for boxing match and an NFL game.

"Yeah, it’s a different type of conditioning," Peterson said about boxing training.

"NFL plays last five or six seconds, and then you’re lining back up again, in a huddle again.

"When you’re in that ring, it’s three minutes, you’re moving around, bouncing around, taking blows, you’re delivering blows as well, it’s all different conditioning."

Jake Paul is set to return to the ring on October 29 when he faces retired MMA legend Anderson Silva in Arizona.
