After a year of frustration, Teofimo Lopez is finally set to make the first defence of his WBA, WBO and IBF lightweight titles against Australia's George Kambosos Jr. in New York on November 27, exclusively live on DAZN.
The 24-year-old is fired up for the fight and it showed on the latest episode of DAZN's Off the Cuff.
"Disrespect me is one thing, disrespect my family there’s no other way, that’s breaking your neck, I’m willing to do that," Lopez told Claudia Trejos on the show.
"I won’t kill a man, I let God deal with people like that. However, he [George Kambosos Jr.] plays the biggest role right now, my toughest competition to date. He is the guy who is willing to fight me and take all that I’ve been working hard for.
"I have that vision. I don’t look over someone, I look through them.”
It was clear a lot of anger has been building up inside Lopez due to the numerous date changes and is looking to unload all this pent up anger on Kambosos Jr.
"With Kambosos it’s going to be that prime example that everything that has happened from Triller, from his managers, everyone that has done something to harm my food on my table for my son. I can’t do it to them, but I can do it to the guy that’s in front of me," Lopez stated.
“Kamabosos is going to get a whole bunch of that and more, because that’s what I’m working hard for. I’m setting an example for everybody, don’t f—k with me.
“I’m nice when I need to be, but don’t f—k with me, not my food.”
