The Matchroom boss has drawn a line in the sand over one of the most-hyped prospective bouts in heavyweight history.

A dream fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury must happen before the end of 2025, according to Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn.

The two British heavyweights have been frequently linked with a blockbuster bout over the past decade, but negotiations have always fallen short.

Joshua bids to become a three-time heavyweight champion against Daniel Dubois, live on DAZN this weekend, while Fury is set for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in December

But Hearn, who feels the fight is an inevitable one, stresses that any bout between the two must be settled before the close of next year.

"Yes, definitely [before the end of 2025]," he told BBC Sport. "I do think AJ-Fury will happen regardless of whether Fury wins or not

"But the size of the fight depends on their next two results. "If AJ beats Dubois and Fury beats Usyk, you've got the biggest fight in the history of the sport ever.

"If one loses and the other wins, it's still a monster fight."
