Anthony Joshua is not carrying a serious injury after his defeat to Daniel Dubois, with Eddie Hearn suggesting it is "wear-and-tear" that will prevent the Briton from a rematch.
The former two-time heavyweight world champion was sensationally stopped by his younger rival at Riyadh Season Card - Wembley Edition at Wembley Stadium in September.
Joshua, who was floored multiple times on the way to a fifth-round knockout, suffered the fourth loss of his career to Dubois, and had been expected to seek a second bout.
Talks have fizzled however, with it suggested the London 2012 Olympic gold medalist would not be fit enough before Dubois needs to face a mandatory challenger for his IBF title.
Speaking before the Two Kings fight card with Jaron "Boots" Ennis and Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez in Philadelphia this weekend, Hearn stressed the Briton has no serious problem.
"There's no major injury," he told The Stomping Ground. "Every fighter has niggles in camp, especially when you're a heavyweight who trains every day and spars really hard.
"There's nothing that's going to be a long-term problem. For a turnaround after a five or six-week break after a defeat like that, it's just not possible to be a hundred percent.
"That's all. There's no tear in the bicep, there's just wear-and-tear that means he cannot go into a training camp with the same intensity that he would want to."
Dubois has been left to seek another opponent, with Joseph Parker one name that has been suggested as a likely contender for an early 2025 bout.
If he wins once again, then a rematch with Joshua could follow, or the latter could instead prepare for a long-awaited bout with Tyson Fury.
