Eddie Hearn brutally honest on heavyweight contender: 'He still owes me money'DAZN

Eddie Hearn has revealed the disappointment of Jarrell Miller’s failed drug tests shortly before the New York fighter was set to face Anthony Joshua in 2019.

Speaking to The DAZN Boxing Show, Hearn reflected on the postponed event following the news that Miller has just scored his second comeback win.

Originally set as the opponent for Anthony Joshua’s American debut, Miller was outstanding in selling the show.

His pre-fight boasts would be ultimately worthless as numerous positive tests forced him from the contest and it was Andy Ruiz who stepped in to cause an upset by stopping ‘AJ’ in seven rounds. Hearn is not in the mood to provide another chance.

“Number one, he owes me money,” said Hearn when speaking to Ak and Barak. “I actually like Jarrell Miller and spent a lot of time with him, but I feel cheated.

“There were clouds over Jarrell Miller, but I always want to judge an individual on how I find them. Sometimes you want to give a fighter a benefit of the doubt, but this was stone-cold cheating to beat another man.

“When you talk about winning, why would you want to take these substances? It wasn’t one drug test, it was multiple. And it was injections. I feel Jarrell Miller could not fight without using performance enhancing drugs.”
