Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that his Matchroom Boxing promotion would take over duties in presenting the unified lightweight championship clash between champion Teofimo Lopez Jr. and challenger George Kambosos Jr. No date or venue has been announced at this time of writing.
Triller had won the purse bids for the battle of two unbeaten fighters, but multiple sources reported this week that they had officially defaulted on staging the contest in the eyes of the IBF.
Hearn had come second in the bidding process, which gave Matchroom Boxing the option to pick up the fight in Triller's stead.
"Delighted to confirm that Matchroom Boxing will be promoting the big Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos unified match-up live on DAZN," Hearn tweeted.
"Date and venue announced shortly. Let's get this show on the road."
