Eddie Hearn says there is no comparison between what Jake Paul is doing in the ring compared to Evander Holyfield’s comeback.
58-year-old Holyfield was handily beaten by MMA fighter Vitor Belfort last weekend while barely throwing a punch of his own.
The fight lasted less than a full round and the event was switched from California to Florida to make sure the former world heavyweight would be sanctioned to fight.
Paul, meanwhile, last fought and beat a 39-year-old Tyron Woodley as part of a card which saw Amanda Serrano and other credible fighters on the undercard.
Speaking to the DAZN Boxing Show, Hearn was clear what he thought of both of the events.
“YouTube boxing is one thing I don't mind what Jake Paul's doing. I respect what Jake Paul is doing one, because he's putting the work in, two he's not fighting boxes based fighting fighters, right?” he began.
“And three, he's promoting the shows, well, it's different. Right? [Holyfield] is not a young YouTuber in a training camp, going out and fighting an MMA guy. This is a guy that quite frankly is not medically fit to have a fight. For the commission, who we worked with in Florida before, to allow that to happen?
"I'll tell you right now, there is absolutely no way the British Boxing Board of Control would even consider allowing that fight to happen and what we saw, they could have done six rounds, what we saw, it actually disgusted me.”
