The Matchroom promoter was speaking to the DAZN Boxing Show.

Eddie Hearn believes that Tyson Fury’s recent social media outbursts suggest he is getting ready to fight again.

Fury fought in October 2021 to make his first successful world title defence as he completed his trilogy of fights against Deontay Wilder.

He has been ordered by the WBC to make a mandatory defence against interim champion Dillian Whyte, but there remains deadlock between the two camps. Manuel Charr and Robert Helenius have been put forward as alternatives to keep Fury busy.

Fury has recently mocked Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua in the past couple of weeks, and Hearn pointed out some of Fury’s own flaws, but did not take it especially serious.

Speaking to the DAZN Boxing Show, he said: “I think Fury is highly entertaining. Talking about [Usyk] going from middleweight to heavyweight, obviously Wladimir [Klitschko] represented Usyk and fired back, pointing out Tyson Fury tested positive for steroids or PEDs.

“I think generally what this means is that Fury is approaching fight mode, he’s firing himself up. You see his fitness journal everyday, getting himself pumped up. He’s getting ready to fight, good news for the division, good news for boxing. He doesn’t care what others think about him, but sometimes he doesn’t think about what else has happened.

“I think it’s always psychological warfare with Tyson Fury. One thing he’s good at is getting in people’s heads in fights, press conferences, or now, out of camp. “
