Eddie Hearn thinks it could be a while before we see Devin Haney back in the ring following his fight with Ryan Garcia.
Earlier this year, Haney was dropped three times by Garcia before losing on points, but the result was later changed to a ‘No Contest’ after it was revealed Garcia had failed a drug test.
Haney has been linked to several comeback fights, but official confirmation of his next battle still hasn't been finalised.
Hearn, who has promoted several Haney’s contests, is unsure when the former undisputed lightweight ruler will return to action.
“I don’t think he’s rushing back. I think he’s lost some love for the sport through what happened,” said Hearn when speaking to the All the Smoke Fight YouTube channel.
“He’s taken a little bit of a beating that night. Now the question is, ‘How bad do you want it?’ The minute a fighter starts fighting for money, ‘Just one more.’ They’re not the same fighter.”
