Eddie Hearn was delighted with Anthony Joshua’s impressive knockout over Francis Ngannou and he’s gone as far to say it could be the best stoppage ever.
Joshua destroyed the former UFC star in two rounds and now he has his sights set on bigger prizes including a showdown with Tyson Fury later this year.
Joshua’s knockout, a stunning right hand, came after he’d already dropped Ngannou on two occasions.
When he landed for the third time, the bout was quickly called off and Hearn went all out in paying tribute to the brilliant finish.
“Some say knockout of the year. I say knockout since the birth of boxing,” said Hearn when speaking to iFL TV.
"I thought we’d stop him, but I thought it would come a bit later on. It was a great performance.”
