Eddie Hearn has named his Mount Rushmore of boxing and the thriving promoter has even included himself on the list.
The Matchroom boss took time out from his busy schedule to speak on The DAZN Boxing Show about the four figures from the boxing world who would make up his very own Mount Rushmore.
First up for Hearn is Anthony Joshua. The two-time heavyweight champion returns to action on April 1 against Jermaine Franklin and he’s been part of Matchroom’s stable since his first day as a pro.
Joining Joshua is Canelo Alvarez. The Mexican icon endured a mixed 2022 after enduring defeat against Dmitry Bivol before beating Gennadiy Golovkin. Canelo is back in the ring on May 6 when he defends his world titles at 168lbs against John Ryder.
Third on the monument is Katie Taylor. The Irish superstar has created an incredible legacy for herself as both an amateur and professional, and she can add to that on May 20 when she faces Chantelle Cameron.
The final member on Hearn’s Boxing Mount Rushmore was himself. After spending years promoting the aforementioned names, Hearn has placed himself next to them.
