Eddie Hearn has revealed that Anthony Joshua has a rematch clause he can activate if he tastes defeat against Otto Wallin next month.
Joshua will have his third bout of the year against the durable Swede following wins over Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius under new trainer, Derrick James.
If successful against Wallin, it’s likely that Joshua could head straight into a monstrous encounter against Deontay Wilder if the American can beat Joseph Parker on the same bill in Saudi Arabia.
If Joshua fails to get the job done, then he could jump straight into a second meeting with Wallin.
“Yes,” said Hearn when asked by Seconds Out if a rematch clause exists for the Wallin clash.
“Because it’s Anthony Joshua, the biggest star in the sport.”
