Eddie Hearn believes Shakur Stevenson could be ‘unbeatable’ as the lightweight star continues his march through multiple weight classes.
Earlier this month, the Newark fighter maintained his unbeaten record as he made easy work of Shuichiro Yoshina as he looks to make the same impact at 135lbs as he has done in previous weight classes.
The win over Yoshina was Stevenson's way of signalling his intent in his new weight class and now bigger tests await him.
Following Gervonta Davis’ win over Ryan Garcia last weekend and with Devin Haney set to face Vasiliy Lomachenko next month, Steveson has a number of opportunities in front of him, and he’s got Hearn’s backing as he looks for future glory.
“Although Shakur Stevenson hasn’t really beaten anyone at lightweight, I don’t think he’s the most exciting, but he may well be unbeatable,” said Hearn when speaking to Anthony Crolla on Lightweight Boxing.
