Terence Crawford’s win over Israil Madrimov last month could be the last time the Nebraska man fights.
That’s the verdict of Eddie Hearn, who’s been part of numerous Crawford events and who thinks the four-weight world champion could retire.
After beating Madrimov, Crawford was once again linked to a fight with Canelo Alvarez, but there’s still no guarantees that fight will take place.
Canelo faces Edgar Berlanga on September 14, live on DAZN, and Hearn insists that Crawford will walks away from boxing if he can’t land a fight with the Mexican icon.
"I don't think Terence Crawford will fight again," said Hearn when speaking to Talksport.
"Because I think he's made really solid money in the last couple of fights, and I don't think he wants to fight Vergil Ortiz. I don't think he wants to fight Jaron 'Boots' Ennis.”
