Eddie Hearn believes that Anthony Joshua will head straight into an immediate rematch with Daniel Dubois once he’s taken time to reflect on things.
Joshua was dropped four times before being stopped by his British rival last month and the fight has left the former two-time world champion with many questions to answer.
In the immediate aftermath of his loss, Joshua was linked to multiple options, with Tyson Fury, a Dubois rematch, and even retirement all mentioned for the Watford man.
Hearn, who has promoted Joshua from the first day of his professional career, is confident his fighter tries to settle the score with Dubois.
“I think if it was up to AJ, and ultimately it is, the answer is going to be an immediate rematch,” said Hearn when speaking to Boxnation.
“I can’t see him doing anything else but to try and avenge that defeat. Obviously, he takes a lot of his advice from me, Ben, Freddie, and the whole team, and he’ll collate that advice, and he’ll make his own decision.”
