Katie Taylor’s eagerly anticipated rematch with Amanda Serrano looks set to take place next May with Dublin’s Croke Park likely to be the venue.
Since their epic meeting this past April inside a congested Madison Square Garden, talk of a second meeting has been relentless as Serrano looks to gain revenge following a narrow split decision loss.
Both fighters have been in action against separate opponents since they last fought, but a sequel to their first classic is what everyone wants to see.
Eddie Hearn, Taylor’s promoter, was a recent guest on The DAZN Boxing Show, and he was able to provide a solid update regarding what should be one of the biggest boxing events of 2023.
“We’re talking to MVP about a two-fight situation,” said Hearn when speaking with Ak and Barak.
“We have Erika Cruz, the other champion who the fight’s between for undisputed so we are looking at making that fight the first week of February in New York and then moving to the big Croke Park fight in front of 80,000 in May. That would be a hell of a run for Amanda Serrano.”
