Eddie Hearn reveals his scoring for Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua rematch: 'A few people had Joshua up'Matchroom

Eddie Hearn scored the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua rematch in favour of the Ukrainian.

The 35-year-old incumbent was awarded the victory on Saturday night by split decision after 12 tough rounds, with most observers appearing to think that Usyk was the deserving winner.

Usyk now remains the WBA, WBO and IBF champion, and speaking to IFL TV after the fight, Hearn explained that a tight decision from the judges was credible.

"[Steve Bunce] had Joshua up, a few people had Joshua up. I felt he lost by two rounds but when it's 115-113, it's the swing of one or two rounds and you can see it the other way," Hearn explained

"I had AJ level or maybe up at the end of the ninth but Usyk winning the last three rounds. I thought he was incredible and it was one of the great performances. The ninth, Usyk was all over the place. He was hurt badly.

"He looked like he could be done. What he did in the tenth was unbelievable and that's why he was pound-for-pound number one. The amount of punches he threw in the tenth was incredible. I just couldn't believe what he did in the championship rounds."

After the fight, Usyk called for an undisputed clash with WBC champion Tyson Fury, questioning whether the Briton is truly retired.
