British fight fans were provided with a moment of excitement recently when it was announced that purse bids would be called for a fight between Dalton Smith and Adam Azim.
The super-lightweight pair are two of Britain’s brightest prospects and a clash seeing them go at it would see the winner push on towards bigger fights.
Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Smith, has stated that he’s happy for Azim’s broadcaster, Sky Sports, to show the fight as long as they make a fair offer. The fight is likely to do big business and Hearn has urged Ben Shalom, the top man at Boxxer, to get in touch.
“We’ll make it very easy for you. We’ll do the fight on Sky. Make us an offer,” said Hearn when speaking to Boxing King Media.
“You ain’t going to make us an offer. What you’re going to do, very soon, is pull Adam Azim out of that fight [against Smith]."
