The next move of Anthony Joshua is still unknown although the former two-time heavyweight champion continues to be linked to a showdown with Tyson Fury at some point this year.
Last September, Joshua was aiming to become world ruler for a third time, but his dreams were quickly crushed as he was dropped four rimes before being stopped by Daniel Dubois.
The result, a huge upset, sent shockwaves through the division, and it is now unclear what Joshua will do next following an illustrious run that has saw many ground-breaking moments.
An inexperienced amateur who captured Olympic gold, Joshua’s professional adventure has been once played out under intense scrutiny as he almost single-handedly dragged British boxing through a triumphant era.
Familiar with the stories that featured the likes of Chris Eubank, Naseem Hamed, and Frank Bruno, Joshua added further chapters with memorable displays inside congested stadiums against the likes of Wladimir Klitschko and Joseph Parker.
Now seemingly closing in on the finish line of his career, Joshua is almost certain to leave a big hole behind after he leaves the sport he has given so much to and there should be concern that it might not get filled.

Boxing has usually always had the one big draw, the fighter to get people talking and to ensure it retains its mainstream presence. Joshua has been that man for so long.
Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Joshua since day one, has been a permanent fixture at the side of Joshua, and he has had his say on what could happen when Joshua eventually retires.
“I’m not sure we’ll ever get another Anthony Joshua,” said Hearn during an exclusive chat with DAZN News .
“We’ve never seen anything like it have we? Firstly, a heavyweight that wins Olympic gold in London then someone who just sparks the interest in the younger generation and different demographics who drives people to get involved at grass roots level.
“Don’t forget, after he beat Klitschko, we took him to the Millennium Stadium and he sold it out to fight Kubrat Pulev, which eventually became Carlos Takam.
“Then he sold it out to face Joseph Parker and then he went back to Wembley to sell it out against Povetkin. You’re never going to see it again.
“We want to find another one but who knows whether we’ll see anything like that again.”
