Eddie Hearn is backing Conor Benn to defeat Chris Eubank Jr on October 8th.
After weeks of speculation, one of the biggest fights in British boxing history has finally been confirmed as the sons of two boxing legends face off in what is certain to be a lively O2 Arena in London.
Benn’s rise at welterweight has been an impressive one guided by Hearn, and although the Essex star is moving up in weight, his promoter has huge faith.
Eubank Jr has experienced defeat on two occasions when losing to Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr, and Hearn believes his man will be the third man to dent Eubank’s impressive ledger.
“I know people write Conor Benn off, but I really think he’ll win the fight,” said Hearn when speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show.
“This fight will go down as one of the biggest fights in British boxing history and one of the biggest fights I’ve ever promoted. This fight, and its magnitude, it was just too big to say no.”
