The Lithuanian however saw his American opponent withdraw once more, and now the event will be headlined by lightweight duo Floyd Schofield and Haskell Rhodes.
Rhodes is a 35-year-old veteran, while 20-year-old Schofield has 11 knockouts from his first 14 fights.
An impressive display at the top of the card could see him move into contention for a world title shot down the line.
