Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford: Former champion questions both fighters

Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford: Former champion questions both fightersDAZN

Kell Brook believes that Errol Spence Jr. is stronger than Terence Crawford, but he does not hold all the advantages.

Brook is a former world champion and is currently considering a potential return to the ring despite seemingly retiring after defeating his long-time rival Amir Khan last year.

Brook lost to Spence in 2017 and Crawford in 2020 so has first-hand experience of what it is like being in the ring with the two champions.

The pair will be fighting this Saturday to be considered the undisputed welterweight champion, and there is a strong chance they will then move up to 154lbs for a proposed rematch.

Whoever emerges as the victor will have a seriously strong case to proclaim themselves as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world right now, and Brook finds it tough to pick a favourite.

He told Betting Sites: “Spence is the stronger fighter but Crawford has snappier shots and he comes at you from different angles.

“We don’t know how Spence will perform after his car crash and subsequent inactivity or if he’s struggling to make the weight because he’s a big guy.

“Styles make fights and to be honest it’s a ‘pick em fight’.”
