Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford: Spence prepared to move up in weight if fight can't be agreedDAZN
Errol Spence wants a fight with Terence Crawford but he won't wait long for it.

With boxing fans now accustomed to big fights taking an age to come to fruition, Errol Spence vs. Terence Crawford remains a bout that is nowhere near to completion.

With Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua recently falling through, a contest between Spence and Crawford has experienced a similar number of frustrations.

With the welterweight pair occupying the leading positions at the top of the 147lbs, the argument for supremacy is no closer to being decided.

Spence, a PBC fighter, has an August 21st date with Manny Pacquiao to look forward to whilst his Nebraska rival is still waiting for a confirmed slot having destroyed Kell Brook at the backend of 2020.

A Spence victory over the Filipino legend later this summer will likely move him into the top position in his weight class, but until he faces Crawford, one of Top Rank’s leading talents, doubts will remain about the Texan’s dominance.

With his focus fully fixed on Pacquiao, a fight that will massively increase his appeal, Spence has declared that his next target is Carwford if he is victorious in two months' time.

“Once I get that belt, like I told Al (Haymon), I want that fight with Terence Crawford,” said Spence when speaking with an interview with Barbershop Conversations. “But if it don’t happen, I’ll probably just move up.”
