Canelo Alvarez was victorious against John Ryder last weekend and the Mexican star immediately set his sights on a rematch with Dmitry Bivol.
Last May, Bivol was in sensational form as he caused one of the biggest upsets of recent times with a dominant display that saw him retain his world title at 175lbs with a points win over Canelo.
Since the loss, Canelo has responded adequately with two decision wins over Gennadiy Golovkin last September and Ryder.
Plenty of options exist for Canelo at both 168lbs and the division above but Errol Spence believes that Canelo should avoid a third move to light-heavyweight and named two fighters the current super-middleweight ruler should avoid.
“I think he should stay away from Bivol. Stay away from Beterbiev too,” said the current welterweight world champion when speaking to ES News.
“Benavidez would be a good a-- fight because they’re going to be right there with each other. Canelo is probably more slicker, but that would be a good fight.”
