Undefeated American heavyweight Jared Anderson has added SugarHill Steward, the coach of former WBC champion Tyson Fury, to his training team ahead of his next fight.
Anderson is set to appear on the undercard of Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov on August 3 in Los Angeles, and he will be facing the dangerous Martin Bakole.
Bakole is currently ranked number one by the WBA, therefore a win for Anderson could put him in pole position to face the undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk.
When it comes to why Anderson made the decision to link up with Steward, it appears it was from advice given by Turki Alalshikh who praised the link-up in a post on X.
"I want to thank Jared Anderson for taking my advise and seeking out to coach and trainer Sugar Hill to train him for his upcoming fight," Alalshikh wrote.
Anderson last fought in April when he beat Ryad Merhy by unanimous decision to extend his professional record to 17-0 with 15 of those wins coming by way of knockout.
