Felix Trinidad hints at 'knockout win' ahead of Katie Taylor's mega fight with Amanda Serrano

Felix Trinidad hints at 'knockout win' ahead of Katie Taylor's mega fight with Amanda SerranoDAZN
Katie Taylor clashes with Amanda Serrano this weekend on DAZN.

Amanda Serrano has the backing of one of Puerto Rico’s greatest ever fighters as she heads into her huge battle with Katie Taylor at Madison Square Garden this weekend. The fight, live exclusively on DAZN, has caught the imagination of Felix Trinidad, and the former three weight world champion, who frequently fought at MSG, is confident that Serrano can emerge victorious.

The imminent contest has split the boxing community due to the impeccable records of both fighters and their undeniable talent. Taylor has enjoyed a stellar rise through the professional rans following a glittering amateur career, but in Serrano, she faces her sternest test. With the eyes of the world set to be on New York City on Saturday night, ‘Tito’ is expecting Serrano to win in style.

“The mentality [of Serrano] should be the same one that she has carried for all her fights, which is to be very focused,” said Trinidad when speaking to BoxingScene.

“She should have the mentality that she is going to fight to win. That should be the mindset of every fighter. We are not invincible, because I suffered three losses, but I always went up (in the ring) with the mentality of winning.”

“I saw her training at the gym in Cupey and it was very good. A lot of speed, the physical condition was excellent and that was three weeks ago. She will win and that's what I see that going down in the fight, she must impose herself and who knows, she might win even by knockout."
