Floyd Mayweather’s run on the exhibition circuit will continue as the former pound-for-pound boxing superstar faces Mikuru Asakura in Japan this September.
Mayweather, recently inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, will take on the MMA fighter as he aims to maintain his impressive run-in exhibition bouts since retiring from boxing in 2017.
After defeating Conor McGregor five years ago, Mayweather has taken part in a number of contests against a variety of opponents including popular YouTuber, Logan Paul.
Last month, Mayweather travelled to the Middle East to face former sparring partner, Don Moore, and he’s not wasting any time getting back into the ring.
"My legacy is already engraved in stone but it's still great just to go around the world and entertain people from all walks of life," said Mayweather.
"I'm pretty sure he's gonna come out and give his best, like any and every guy, but I've seen every style, so, my job is just to go out there, be me, have fun and do what I do best.”
