Floyd Mayweather maintains that he still has a great relationship with Gervonta Davis despite recent speculation linking the Baltimore talent to other promoters.
The heavy-handed 27-year-old is one of boxing’s brightest talents and he’s recently been the complimentary subject of Eddie Hearn who has made his feelings about ‘Tank’ clear.
Last month, Davis was impressive as he chopped away at Rolando Romero before scoring a sixth-round stoppage against his lightweight rival.
That victory has opened the door for potential huge fights against the likes of Devin Haney, Vasiliy Lomachenko, and Ryan Garcia, leading Mayweather to hint that Davis will remain a part of Mayweather Promotions.
“I’m not here to talk about Tank. He’s a hell of a fighter,” said Mayweather when speaking to Fight Hub TV regarding Davis.
“He’s with us forever. I like Tank, I love Tank, he loves me, and we have a great relationship and we’re happy.”
