Jeff Mayweather has seen some incredible fighters when helping out in his role as trainer at the Mayweather Boxing Gym in Las Vegas.
The uncle of Floyd Mayweather has worked with his nephew on multiple occasions, and he’s also had the pleasure of assisting with Devin Haney.
With fight fans fully aware of the accomplishments achieved by Mayweather and Haney, Jeff offers a different fighter when discussing who is the best fighter he’s trained.
With Floyd being the obvious answer, Mayweather goes in a different direction by naming a brilliant Panamanian.
"I would probably say Celestino Caballero," said Mayweather when speaking to Talksport. “I won a world title with him. Shannon Briggs is also one of the most talented heavyweights in history and also one that you probably don't know of Sultan Ibragimov.
"But I think that Celestino was a little different than all the guys that I trained. He was a 122-pounder, six foot tall, but he fought like he was a smaller guy, he loved to fight inside.
"But he knew how to do it. He knew how to get his shots off and then get out. And he won the world title five times so that speaks volumes."
