The Bronze Bomber lost on Saturday.

Audley Harrison believes that Deontay Wilder should now retire from boxing.

Wilder looked well off his best against Zhilei Zhang on Saturday, when he was levelled by the Chinese fighter.

The former WBC champion is now 38, and after four defeats from his last five match-ups, he had already conceded that now might be the time for him to step away.

Wilder was Harrison’s last opponent, back in 2013, and he was stopped by the Bronze Bomber.

Speaking to Lucky Block, Harrison said that now was the time to call it a day.

He said: “There’s nothing more for him to achieve. He moved to Malik (Scott) but they’re not going to be able to change his style.

“His style is to go forward and you can’t learn to fight on the backfoot. He’s an Olympic bronze medalist, he’s been a world champion. He changed his life around, financially for his daughter.

“Technically he didn’t finesse it, but he defended his world title many times and changed his life. He should walk away with his head held high.”
