Carl Froch expects Anthony Joshua to show Francis Ngannou he doesn't belong in the same ring with him when the pair meet on Friday.
The titanic encounter will see Joshua battle the boxing novice, in what is only Ngannou's second professional fight.
Talking to Grosvenor Casinos, Froch thinks it would be a big embarrassment for Joshua to suffer defeat but believes the Brit boxer will make an example of his inexperienced opponent.
“If AJ gets chinned by Ngannou I'm not going to say he should retire, but I don't know what the point would be to carry on. It'd be embarrassing." Froch begun.
"If he got beaten by Ngannou it would not be good for him mentally, where would he go after that? Ngannou has a puncher's chance and if he sticks it on AJ who knows. I'm still not expecting Ngannou to be good enough in there with the former two time champion.”
“I'm not going to give Ngannou too much credit because I'm putting the Tyson Fury performance down to Fury being unprepared, he wasn't ready and when you have that negative mindset about someone who you think is an easy night's work, it's not easy to get up for it.
"He was the worst he could possibly be and I think I will be showing us Ngannou doesn't belong in a professional boxing ring, especially not at that level.”
