Callum Smith will return to action on November 30, live on DAZN , as he looks to launch another assault on the light-heavyweight division.

Earlier this year, Smith travelled to Canada in an attempt to become world champion, but it was a trip to forget as he was stopped by the brilliant Artur Beterbiev.

Smith had been expected to be a stern test for the current ruler at 175lbs, but he ran into an impressive version of the pound-for-pound superstar as he was stopped for the first time in his career.

Now hoping to go again and compete for world honours after ruling at super-middleweight, Smith will make an appearance on the undercard of Sunny Edwards vs. Galal Yafai at the end of this month.

If successful, Smith will use the victory as a springboard that can hopefully get him amongst the world title with other leading names.

As it stands, light-heavyweight in Britain is very congested and there’s numerous high-profile fights that Smith could feature in next year against the likes of Anthony Yarde and Joshua Buatsi.

Smith, who also faced Canelo Alvarez in 2020, was dominant at 168lbs when he reigned as world champion with strong displays over George Groves and Hassan N’Dam.

The Liverpool man has long demonstrated an eagerness to make an impact at the highest level in boxing, and he can plot a return to that platform starting on November 30.
