Oleksandr Usyk will repeat his victory over Anthony Joshua next week. That’s the verdict of Dmitry Salita who sees no way how the popular Brit can settle the score against the unbeaten Ukrainian.
Last September, Usyk and Joshua shared 12 rounds and it was the former who emerged victorious thanks to a dazzling display of accurate boxing.
Joshua has taken full advantage of a rematch clause from the first fight, but Salita believes that Usyk is too good, and that Joshua will tase the third defeat of his career.
“Usyk is the better fighter, and I just don't see how AJ can make the adjustments to beat Usyk, I don't see it,” said Salita when speaking to BoyleSports Boxing.
“Usyk is a very experienced fighter, had a tremendous amateur career, and is an Olympic gold medallist.
“He has been taught the science of boxing as a kid and really knows boxing like a scientist, on a scientific level. He's a boxing master, one of the most educated boxers in the world, maybe even of all time. He's really, really well educated in terms of the sweet science.”
