Francis Ngannou is a fighter in demand but there’s only one contest that interests the former UFC superstar and that’s a rematch with Tyson Fury.
Last month, Ngannou almost caused the biggest upset in boxing history as he dropped the current WBC champion on his boxing debut before losing a narrow split decision.
Since the result was announced, Ngannou has been linked to several leading heavyweights including Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, but Fury is the man he wants.
The British fighter is expected to face Oleksandr Usyk at some point in 2024, but due to the reaction from the crossover fight’s outcome, a sequel at some point should be expected.
"The rematch is what I want next the most," said Ngannou when speaking to TMZ
"As for right now I feel like there is a lot of options for me, but I want to choose wisely, and I would go for the rematch first.
"My best scenario in boxing is to wait for Fury. If Usyk can step out and let me fight Fury, I'll fight Fury, then I'll let them do whatever they do.”
