It looks like Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will finally meet for the undisputed world heavyweight title after their respective camps agreed a deal.
Usyk and his team accepted Fury's offer of a 70/30 split on Friday which has now brought into play an April 29 date at Wembley Stadium for the eagerly anticipated contest.
With the date being six weeks away and Fury only just starting his training camp, some are concerned that the WBC world heavyweight champion will not be ready to face one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters, but this is something that does not concern Fury's promoter Frank Warren.
“It’s on. Subject to the contracts being sorted out, everyone is on the same page. We just have to keep moving it along and I’m sure it will happens," Warren told talkSPORT when asked to give an update on the Fury vs. Usyk negotiations.
"That [April 29] would be the date for the fight. At one stage I wasn’t sure if Tyson would be fit for it, but he’s okay.
“The bottom line is they have both come out and said what they want to do and obviously we have to get the contracts signed. Everybody is working on that to get everything finalised.”
As long as there are no more hiccups, this will be the second time Fury has fought at Wembley Stadium after beating Dillian Whyte at the same venue last year.
