Although Frank Warren is pushing ahead with delivering Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk on February 17, the Hall of Fame promoter hasn’t ruled out another fight for his heavyweight in 2024.
Fury and Usyk will finally collide next year in one of boxing’s biggest bouts, but it appears the current WBC champion still has unfinished business with Francis Ngannou.
Last month, Fury kept his unbeaten record via the narrowest of margins when he defeated Ngannou on a split decision.
The former UFC superstar pushed Fury throughout and even managed to drop his more experienced opponent in the third round. The contest has prompted Ngannou to pursue a rematch and Warren believes it’s a possibility.
“I think there’s a good chance of that happening, I really do,” said Warren when speaking on a potential second fight on The MMA Hour.
“That I don’t know, [if the rematch will be next for both men.] That is too far forward. But let’s get the big one out of the way and see where we go.”
