Tyson Fury’s co-promoter Frank Warren is ready to exercise a rematch clause for his fighter.
Fury was the WBC heavyweight champion going into the match-up with Oleksandr Usyk last night in Saudi Arabia live on DAZN , but it was the Ukrainian who emerged victorious.
Usyk had Fury in desperate trouble in the ninth and many count the Briton fortunate to have been given enough time to recover by the referee to see out the 12 rounds.
Nevertheless, the split-decision victory reflected that Fury had dominated plenty of the match-up at times, and speaking after the fight, the beaten man made it clear he wanted to run it back.
His promoter Warren said it should be straightforward to set up.
"It's what Tyson wants, the clause in the contract says 'immediate rematch'," Warren said.
