Promoter Frank Warren is confident he can make the fight between Anthony Yarde and Joshua Buatsi despite potential difficulties.
Buatsi is represented by Ben Shalom, while Warren represents Yarde, and the two light heavyweights impressed in their recent appearances.
Buatsi took a hard-fought victory against Dan Azeez two weekends ago in a WBA eliminator, while Yarde had little difficulty against Marko Nikolic last Saturday.
Immediately after the fight, the pair exchanged their mutual respect for one another, but both were keen to meet in the ring as the world waits for Artur Beterbiev to meet Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed status at 175lb.
Warren wrote in BoxingScene.com: “Anthony Yarde has now fully dusted himself down and, in my opinion, the fight with Joshua Buatsi is the one to make.
"Joshua was in attendance on Saturday and the way he and Anthony conducted themselves was how it should be. No nonsense at all.
“Yes this would be a cross-promotional, cross-platform fight, but everyone just needs to make accommodations and get it done.”
