Eddie Hearn has proposed a four-man tournament to decide who is the world's best heavyweight boxer following the collapse of talks between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
The heavyweight champions had been locked in discussions for several weeks, but it appears their potential undisputed clash is off the table after failing to agree a deal.
With both fighters now seeking alternative options, Hearn, the promoter of Anthony Joshua, has has taken to social media to unveil his idea.
Joshua returns to action on April 1, exclusively live on DAZN, and if he gets past Jermaine Franklin then Hearn wants to throw his man into a heavyweight mix that will crown an undisputed champion.
"If Fury vs Usyk doesn’t get made...and AJ gets past [Jermaine] Franklin...Fury vs AJ, Wilder vs Usyk - winner vs winner for undisputed,” wrote Hearn on Twitter.
The scenario is a dream for all boxing fans, but with negotiations already stalling between Fury and Usyk, agreeing terms for all four men could be problematic.
