Galal Yafai is ready to settle a near-decade-long score with Sunny Edwards this November, with the Tokyo 2020 gold medalist vowing to defeat his rival in his own way.
The pair are due to clash at Birmingham's BP Pulse Live next month, more than nine years after they met as amateurs in the ring looking to fulfil their Olympic dreams.
Yafai was ruthless in his last bout, serving up a third-round victory over Sergio Oliva, while Edwards bounced back in June with a technical decision win against Adrian Curiel.
It marked a return to winning ways for the latter after a first career loss to Jesse Rodriguez, but ahead of the fight, Yafai isn't looking for too many tips from his rival's lone defeat.
"I'm not Jesse Rodriguez," he exclusively told DAZN. "He does certain things that I can't do, and I do certain things he wouldn't be able to do either. We're both different people.
"I’ll deal with him with the tools I have. It’s good to see these things, and see how to beat him, but on the night, it will just be what I’m good at, which is hopefully good enough."

Yafai has looked the business since he topped the podium in Japan three years ago, with a blossoming professional career, and he admits a title shot is a future target.
"I think to be world champion is the ultimate dream, but I don’t want to look too far ahead," he added.
"My next challenge is Sunny Edwards and I’ll be looking to get over that hurdle with flying colours."
Edwards previously held the IBF flygweight title for two years, though he lost it in his unification bout with WBO champion Rodriguez last December.
