Gervonta Davis has a huge fight against Ryan Garcia this weekend, but it was Bernard Hopkins who was the focus of Davis’ fury at the fight’s weigh-in.
The legendary fighter, one of the greatest of the modern era, is now a member of the Golden Boy team and has long spoken up on the qualities possessed by Garcia.
A frequent attendee of all fights featuring Garcia, Hopkins made his way to the side where Davis and his team were stood and that appeared to rile the Baltimore man.
After a number of verbal attacks were exchanged, the situation looked like it had been resolved but ‘Tank’ took to social media shortly afterwards to address Hopkins.
“I should’ve slapped the s--t outta B-Hop as soon as he touched me,” wrote Davis on Twitter in a tweet that has since been deleted
“Why he’s on our side in the first place but if I would’ve punched, I would’ve been wrong.”
