Gervonta Davis will make his long-awaited return to the ring this summer as he steps into the squared circle with Frank Martin.
Multiple outlets, including The Ring, are reporting the fight is close to being confirmed and Davis will be defending the WBA lightweight title as he has his own fight in over a year.
Last time out, Davis produced the performance of his career to halt Ryan Garcia in one of the biggest fights of 2023.
Since then, the Baltimore man had been linked to several fights, but it now looks like Martin will be his next rival.
Earlier this month, Davis received an offer from Eddie Hearn to take on Conor Benn at 147lbs, but it doesn’t look like that fight is happening anytime soon.
Davis has also been rumoured to be in talks with the likes of Isaac Cruz and Devin Haney.
If successful against Martin, there’s no doubt that Davis will continue to be talked about when discussing the biggest fights in boxing.
