Gervonta Davis vs. Shakur Stevenson is one of the biggest fights on boxing fans' wish list.
If the mega bout does materialize, Canelo Alvarez would go with "Tank" as the winner, explaining why during a recent interview with "Sway In The Morning."
"Shakur Stevenson is a good fighter," Alvarez began analyzing. "He moves a lot and it is very difficult to hit him.
"But I like Gervonta Davis," he continued. "He's a really good fighter, he hits hard and he knows how to go forward.
"So I put my money on Gervonta."
Alvarez and Davis have expressed their mutual respect for each other in the past with "Tank" even visiting the Mexican superstar in his locker room before Canelo delivered a unanimous decision victory over Jaime Munguia in May.
In recently speaking with Boxing News, Stevenson confirmed talks had taken place between his camp and Davis' team.
“We haven’t heard nothing back yet but that fight is going to happen," Stevenson told the outlet. "I’m not going to act like the fight is not going to happen, me and him are the best, we are the best fighters coming up, best fighters in the 135-pound division – there is no way that the fight is not happening.
“I know that fans want to scream and say all of these things like ‘this guy is ducking’, they want to find a person and say that somebody is ducking. I ain’t scared to fight him and he is not scared to fight me and it is going to be a hell of a fight when it happens."
