Todd duBoef is hopeful that a mega fight between Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson can be secured.
The pair have enjoyed marquee wins in a number of weight classes without their paths ever crossing and a battle between the pair is almost certain to do big business.
Davis looks set to face Frank Martin in a tough test later this year while Stevenson’s next move is still unknown.
If both fighters come through their next assignments, a contest between the pair will appeal massively and duBoef has spoken on the matter.
“I hope so, I think it makes sense. I think those weight classes between [1]30 and [1]40 pounds are brilliant,” said duBoef when speaking to BoxingScene.
“I think there’s a lot of moving and shaking going on there. I think they are all touching the weight classes and can touch all of them – their size is good enough that they can drop in weight to lose three to five pounds and move up in weight to gain three to five pounds.
“So, I think there’s a lot of fun that can be done there. But we’ve got to get everybody’s expectations to the table.”
