Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis vs. Rolando Romero: List of odds, favourites, markets, predictions and betting trendsShowtime
All the betting details for Saturday night's lightweight fight in Brooklyn, New York.

Gervonta 'Tank' Davis is set for his first fight of 2022 when he takes on Rolando Romero at the Barclays Center in New York on Saturday night.

These two were originally set to meet in December, but this never came to fruition after Romero became the subject of a sexual assault case. Now the case has been dropped, Romero will finally get the fight he's been desperate for.

Instead of facing Romero at the end of the 2022, Davis instead faced Isaac Cruz in a gruelling 12-round fight which the American won on the judges' scorecards.

Now Davis will be looking to make a statement to the rest of the lightweight division with a dominant performance against Romero.

'Tank' Davis vs. Romero prediction

Despite beating Isaac Cruz in his last fight, many felt Gervonta 'Tank' Davis performance was an underwhelming one.

Cruz brought the American's 16-fight knockout streak to an end, and now Davis will be looking to produce another hard-hitting performance which made him one of boxing's most exciting names.

There is also extra incentive for Davis to put together an explosive performance and that's to peak the interest of other promoters who maybe looking to sign the American with this fight against Romero being Davis' last under the Mayweather Promotions banner.

Romero can certainly talk, but when it comes to inside the ring, Davis will be too much for his fellow countryman. The build-up for this fight will certainly be entertaining, but one thing fighters do not want to do is make Davis angry. Expect the 27-year-old to estbalish his power shots early on and as he gradually wears down Romero, Davis will look to produce one of his trademark knockout blows in the middle rounds.

Astbury's pick: Gervonta 'Tank' Davis to win in round 6 (9/1 on Bet MGM - USA customers only)
