Hall of famer labels next Canelo Alvarez fight a 'mismatch'DAZN

Boxing fans rejoiced last month when they finally found out the next move for the undisputed super middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

The Mexican is set to face the undisputed light middleweight champion Jermell Charlo on September 30 in Las Vegas and it's a fight surrounded with intrigue due to Charlo going up two weight divisions to take on one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters.

However, there are some who believe this particular fight is a no-contest, including Hall of Fame boxer Timothy Bradley.

"I personally think this fight is a mismatch. I still think it does astronomical numbers, because it’s Canelo Alvarez and he’s facing an African American," Bradley told FightHype when discussing the contest.

"If anybody’s banking on Charlo to knock Canelo out, you can wish that goodbye. Because Canelo has one of the best chins in all of boxing.

"It’s going to be a tall, tall task for Charlo. But if he somehow pulls this off? Wow! Because he would cement himself as one of the pound-for-pound guys of today.”
