The DAZN Boxing Show discussed whether Jermaine Franklin would be ready for another high profile heavyweight fight after defeating Isaac Munoz.
The pair fought at the weekend with Franklin winning by unanimous decision against his late replacement opponent.
After putting in credible performances against Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua, but losing both, Franklin will hope for another chance to move up the rankings.
Akin Reyes watched the fight and told the DAZN Boxing Show: “I was impressed, can he work his way back up to get another fight with another elite heavyweight?”
Barak Bess noted: “The performance kept him there, and he just got his claim to fight because he had a very close fight with Dillian Whyte - some say he won - and he lasted 12 rounds . Sometimes I think people give people too much credit for lasting 12 rounds. He showed he’s a very skilled fighter who can cause problems.
“He’s just there, I don’t know. He already fought [Anthony] Joshua and Joshua won that fight convincingly. That’s one you couldn’t beat, but look at what he did with Dillian Whyte.
“He just has to hang around. He beat the guy, his body work was phenomenal, it just keeps his name relevant. His name is in the mix now, you just need to be around when someone needs a fight.”
