Have Naoya Inoue and Terence Crawford done enough to overtake Oleksandr Usyk?

Have Naoya Inoue and Terence Crawford done enough to overtake Oleksandr Usyk?DAZN

It’s been a busy few days in boxing with a couple of fights that could have huge implications at the business end of boxing’s pound for pound list.

Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue were both recently in action and both men maintained their unbeaten runs in the sport with stoppage victories over solid opposition.

Last weekend, Crawford enhanced his credentials at welterweight as he successfully defended his WBO crown with a sixth-round halting of David Avanesyan.

Three days later, Inoue added the WBO bantamweight title to his collection as he became undisputed ruler at 118lbs after finishing Paul Butler in the fight’s penultimate round.

Has either victory elevated their standing in the DAZN pound for pound rankings? The answer is no.

Crawford remains in second position behind Oleksandr Usyk with Inoue a further place behind. Huge fights are on the horizon for all three men so the list could look very different in just a few months' time.
