Chris Billam-Smith looks set to defend his WBO cruiserweight title against Richard Riakporhe this summer.
The British rivals met in 2019 and it was Riakporhe who claimed victory with a hard-fought points win.
Since the setback, Billam-Smith has responded in impressive fashion and last year he became world champion when beating Lawrence Okolie.
Since that victory, the Bournemouth man has constantly been linked to a fight with Riakporhe, and Ben Shalom, the main man at Boxxer, has provided details on where the bout stands.
“Everything has been agreed upon between the fighters. We are just waiting to agree on a date with the broadcaster and we will be ready to go in June,” said Shalom when speaking to Boxing Scene.
“We hope to confirm in the next few days. There has been talk of [Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park]. I don’t think it will happen in Bournemouth this time, but it will happen in June.
“We want to make sure everyone is on the same page and has a suitable date that works for everyone. It is a fight that both fighters know they will be having for a long time. It is a rematch – a world title – and a monster occasion.”
