Chantelle Cameron’s fine win over Katie Taylor in May has seen the Northampton fighter gatecrash the DAZN Pound for Pound list as she jumps straight in at number two.
Unfortunate not to grab a lofty position following her win over Jessica McCaskill last year, Cameron now takes her place amongst the elite of women’s boxing with only Claressa Shields above her.
Cameron’s victory in Ireland was a superb performance as she overcame the bookmakers' odds and a hostile crowd to inflict the first professional defeat on Taylor.
Backed by the brilliant Jamie Moore, Cameron fought to instruction and was able to retain her undisputed status at super-lightweight via majority decision.
There’s several options now available for Cameron as she looks to make the next defence of her belts, but it appears a lucrative rematch with Taylor later this year will make the most sense.
Another new entry sees Natasha Jonas make the list. Jonas has been outstanding recently and her dominant run at 154lbs sees her make the cut.
